Hi everyone, I have an ThinkPad Edge 15 with i3 CPU I believe it's 2.88 GHz. I am running to gig of RAM. I want to upgrade to an i7 - 6:40 a.m. CPU. Was wondering if this was possible and must I upgrade the fan ... I realized I can purchase a new computer but I really like this one and I have sentimental value. I also upgraded to Windows 10 recently

You can upgrade to the 640M no problem; it's actually the best 35W CPU for Socket G1, so well done there. You won't need to upgrade your cooling since both processors are rated for 35W.
