I have to restart my machine several times before it will actually load Windows and turn on. This is a custom PC that I built and the parts that I used are here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hC6WzY. I built this machine about 5 years ago, but recently upgraded the RAM and hard drive.

When I turn on my machine, I wait for about 2 mins. If the machine doesn't turn on after those first 2 minutes, I restart it. I repeat that process about 3 times before the machine actually turns on.

After it turns on, it's fine until it goes to sleep. When it goes to sleep, I can't wake it and have to restart the entire restart/wait pattern.

Hi elongoria, I have had this exact same issue with my Xeon rendering pc and it is a simple fix for mine.

I went into the BIOS and disabled “IDE” for the SATA type, so that it would boot into AHCI instead. This fixed the issue almost immediately for me so you might want to make sure to check that out!

Also try changing the BIOS boot from “Legacy” to “UEFI” as that can sometimes cause conflicts on newer systems.
