Have you ever Received DOA RAM?

Quick little poll. I've received DOA RAM myself. I would be interesting to see how often this happens.

No. Although it's not like I buy a lot of it.

Most of what people think are DOA ram tend to just be motherboard compatibility problems.

yes first with a pair from newegg pc100 256mb then ddr2 800 1 gb

Nope. Most recently, I've bought 2x2GB of Corsair XMS2, both working fine in my current pc , and 2x2GB of G.Skill. Both work great to date . None of my older ones have broken either, probably because i stick to buying brand new RAM, from the best quality manufacturers (Kingston, Corsair, G.Skill). It's worth the minute premium imo.

Yes from Crucial and Corsair, Crucial was there cheap line for a customers computer and the Corsair was XMS for my last rig. Even the best manufacturers let a bum unit slip out the door from time to time. Corsair was quick with RMA only three day turn a round.
