Having an issue booting up my new pc

Recently i built a new PC. when i was done i put windows onto my flash drive and turned on my pc. Nothing happens to the screen. The only thing that happens inside the computer is the fans spin and a white light flashes on the graphics card and the buttons on the case. Im also using windows 8.1 pro 64 bit. Any Help is appreciated.

did you remember to plug in the power cables (PCIe to graphics, 4/8pin to cpu) properly (do NOT mix up the PCIe 8pin with the CPU 8pin) and plug the monitor into the graphics card?

yes, i did all of that

Let's take out your video card and just use your onboard video display for now and let us know if it works without the video card.
If it works then either your video card is bad or the power supply is not giving your video card enough power. either then its a power supply going bad or its a lemon or try a different power supply.
