So I just got a Asus 5xxl i5 and I had to replace the hard drive. I had a windows 7 disk so I installed windows 7 and then upgraded to 10. My issue is when I take out the 7 disk and reboot it gets stuck on a black screen and repeats the same message no matter what I hit. if I put the windows 7 disk back in and restart it goes to the hit any button to boot from disk screen, I don't hit anything and windows 10 boots up fine. without the disk in my only option is to enter the bios over and over. please help This is driving me insane.

Solution
what message is it repeating?

if you have win 10 installed, the win 7 disc won't be helping.

If you have another pc, download win 10 here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Create a bootable USB or dvd and boot from it, on the screen after it asks for language settings, click fix this pc, not install
Select troubleshoot
Select advanced
Select Repair start up

This will sak for a password but it will also hopefully fix your start up problems.

You can still access this same menu without the install disc via settings/Update & Security/Recovery/Advanced Start up (only mention this as you can get into windows 10)
