Intro
As the title suggests I am having problems with my computer shutting down randomly. I only found this to happen when I am playing games. I haven't figured out why this happens or the cause (clearly because I wouldn't be here 😛) but I do have some ideas. I'm extremely grateful for help and assistance, hope we can get this solved.

What it could be
The first thing I think is mainly the CPU over heating (specs below). I find this weird however because I don't have lots of processes going on while playing my games, typically just the game is open. The second thing would be hard drive failure. I am not too sure of this but I'm skeptical as it's just a HDD (planning to replace this asap). Lastly the only other thing could be the PSU but this is the least of my suspicions.

What's happening
So stated before, my pc is shutting down when I am playing a game. I find it to maybe to be when I am playing for a long time, this is why I suspect over heating of the CPU. The weird thing is however, when it shuts down of course my screen goes black as there is nothing displaying. The lights on my keyboard and mouse shut down. The weirdest part is that the PSU lights stay on. I can't force shutdown the computer by holding the power button, I am forced to flip the switch on the back of the case and force shut down the PSU.

Specs & story
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor
Memory: 8 GB RAM (3.98 GB RAM usable)
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Hard Drive: WDC WD15EACS-11BHUB0
PSU: Replace Power RP-ATX-1000W-BLU 1000W ATX Power Supply Blue LED

The reason why this mess came together was a mix of hand me down and blindly buying things. When I received the computer from my cousin who claimed it had PSU problems. He said it randomly shut down, oddly enough I am now having the same problem. So the first thing I had done after getting the computer was bought a new PSU. I simply just swapped them but the problem had happened again and I was confused on what it could be. I reached out to my father for help and we eventually found that the CPU had no thermal compound on it. So we simply bought some and fixed that issue. Yet we are still here with random shut downs. (After that I had bought the GPU, just a btw). So with all that I am completely lost on what it could be and need help. I am not sure if putting this in the CPU thread was correct, I thought it was simply because I think it could be the culprit.

What game are you playing? My guess is, as you said, the CPU. But usually it just fries if it gets to hot. It could also be the RAM but that shouldn't shut it down... Basically, what games does it shut down on while playing.
You should completely rule the PSU out as 1000 watts should be more than enough for a GTX 1060.

"You should completely rule the PSU out as 1000 watts should be more than enough"

Listen friend, there's more to choosing the right PSU than just picking the right wattage, so no way can it be completely ruled out.

First thing I would do is replace that poor-quality rubbish PSU with a quality one from Seasonic or Corsair.

The only two games I have had this happen was Black Desert Online and oddly Minecraft. BDO seems more like the issue game but Minecraft? I don't even recall running mods or shaders.

The PSU was more of a budget type of thing. Got what would work not quality, I am still in high doubts of it being the problem anyway. If there was anything in my house or anyway for me to get one that I knew would be able to support my computer I would definitely try it. But as of now I have nothing to test with.

Whoops. Didn't look at the brand. But still, It should be fine.

My theory is the GPU. I'm not very skilled in any territory outside of RAM and CPU so i'll leave this one to others. But i think it's the GPU. The games you listed seem to be GPU reliant but I'm again, not skilled in this department. So I dunno.
