Hi I would like to ask cause ive never experienced this problem before. My OS suddenly freezes randomly like while I am browsing or watching a movie it just hangs, the type of Hang that I experience in browser is the screen suddenly freeze but i can move my mouse and the page wont load, I cant also click the start button or anything in movies it just rewinds the sound and the screen freeze I am using a i5 4590, Gigabyte Z97 HD3, 2x4 hyperx fury 1866hz, samsung ssd 840 evo and a generic powersupply 650 watts. Is the powersupply causing this problem? cause my mobo has a 8 pin slot and this powersupply only got 4 pin? or is there any compatibility issue with the memory?

Solution
It's nothing to do with the main mobo power connector. Using just four of the pins is fine, other four only required if overclocking the CPU.

As for the RAM, it either works if compatible, or doesn't work at all if not compatible - - there's no "it only half works". However, that doesn't exclude the possibility of some of the RAM modules having errors. You can test the RAM with a bootable CD containing memtest86: http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm#free
Test each module on it's own so you know which one, if any, has errors.
Any errors will usually be detected and show on the screen within the first three or four passes, so no need to run it all night.
Memtest will keep running in a continuous testing cycle until you press the <Esc>...

Likewise, test the system hard drive:

This for WD hard drives: http://www.smartestcomputing.us.com/topic/63494-looking-for-western-digital-data-lifeguard-iso/

This for Seagate or any other non-WD drive: http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/item/seatools-dos-master/
Or this if SeaTools is unresponsive (DOS version doesn't like USB input devices):

Testing RAM & HDD will at least be a good starting point in troubleshooting the problem. If they both pass okay you can add that info to your next post if problem not fixed.
