having issues installing software

When trying to install a program on my windows 2000 pro.
I recieve a message like the fallowing.

"Windows Installer

The systems administrator has policies to prevent this
intallation"

Does anyone know how to disable the policy so that I can
intall my programs.

Yes, I have tried logging in with administrator and it
still gives me the error message. What do I do?

Sounds like that this policy:
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows
Installer\Disable Windows Installer

might be enabled. I would check that first.

That is the only setting that i've known or see that can disable Window
Installer.

You need to disable that.
