having issues with i5-3570k & new MSI 1080ti

Hey guys Wanted to start out by saying thanks for the help/replys!

My Build: i5-3570k, Asus P8Z77-VLK mobo,256gb ssd,2tb (1.8tb really) regular 7,200rpm hard drive, Msi GTX
1080 Ti 11gb (replaced GTX 770), 8GB 2x4 Corsair ddr-1600 DIMM CL RAM, and a
750w Silencer Mk power supply.

So i recently upgraded my gpu from a GTX770 (had no issues on it) to a MSI 1080T.i.
1. everything was running fine for 6-8 days
2. the comp boots up real fast 14-18 second from time i push power button and enter my password & on the windows screen.
3. the problem is now after boot its started taking programs forever to load up (Geforce controls, network, and my antivirus load up immediately, but everything else takes up to a minute+ to load up (steam, discord, ect..) and and get very laggy when minimizing and maximizing, sometimes freezing up (when doing this on games).
4. also upon boot Ive noticed it starts off with 58 processes and then slowly after a few mins moves up to 80.
5. its like i have a virus but i don't. not getting high cpu using or that high of temps on either gpu or cpu?

any suggestions would be awesome i thought bottleneck or i partially fried my i5 maybe? cant find any virus's or malw rootkits ect.. im out of ideas guys. thanks for the help again

You can spend ages trying to find the cause of this type of issue. I'd just jump straight to a fresh install of Windows and drivers. If it still happens after that you know its hardware related.

* Run these two programs to scan for infection; one to completion and then the second one. Both will close all open programs and will possibly reboot your computer. Therefore, save all open work, and browser tabs.

Then run HWmonitor while in game. Report back temps in this message thread. Do these actions now and report back here please.

Hey sorry fell asleep afterposting this at 4am. I think i have a saved Hwinfo or monitor file saved but i deleted that app becasue everytime he senors would refresh it would send a lag spike thorugh entire pc with game max and minimized. really odd.. even with my 770 never had a simple tiny program like that give me lag. and it did not look like my cpu usage was too high which is concering... but ill run those other two programs here in a few minutes and let you know whats going on.

im tryin to put that Hwinfo file on here for you but when i open the csv file in notepad or wordpad it shows up kinda like a bunch of gibberish you have a good program to use to open stuff like that so i can post on here for you.

also really appreciate the fast reply !

also I wasn't thinking and forgot to addi replaced my old 27" 1080i maybe 60 refresh (don't remember) with a new dell 27" that does 2560 x 1440p at 144refresh rate.

ok I've done that even though I had done it through the Geforce exp before. It seems like mozilla and random other apps startup a little faster but games still have a little pause. Im about to see if my 770 can hook up to this new monitor. It just drive me crazy cause that card was almost as much as the rest of the entire pc hah...for some reason the screen takes a minute to get to the 2560 x 1440p @ 144refresg resolution even though thats the resolution native to my monitor and what I had games set to. Thanks a lot for your help so far once again man. really appreciated.

I'm with sizzling in this one, anytime i have this kind of problem i do a fresh windows install, make sure to backup all your important information.
