having problems with gtx 670?

so iv had my gtx 670 for like 3 years now. and it has run perfectly fine, since i bought it. it even runs perfectly now on every thing. i can even play crysis 3 everything maxed out at 1080 with zero AA at 22 fps and play the game nicely.

my problem is that when i run MW3 multiplayer recently, for some reason im getting fps of 50 to 60 and as soon as i get close to any one on the map my fps dips to 20 fps and laggs hard.(in crysis even tough it ran at 22 fps i could still play really nicely.)

iv been playing mw3 on this gpu for years now and it has always been able to handle the game at everything maxed out and run 60 fps+ so idk what the hell is going on.

i did bring down the graphic setting to literally the lowest and the fps comes out around 90 then when i get close to enemies it dips to 50-60 ish but it also stutters.

can some one plz help me out, because its not my internet connection i got fios at 50/50. and the game shows my ping being the best. 99% of the time my computer host the games, even now.

i also deleted nvidia drivers and re downloaded them. and also did the same for the game and nothing worked.

im confused as fuck about whats going on.

if it only happens in that game its not the GPU its software most likely
