Hey guys! Recently my Logitech MK320 wireless keyboard gave up after 9 years of usage so I decided to buy a new keyboard. I went for Cosmic Byte CB-GK-15 Triton and it is a wired keyboard with back-lit keys. Now it has only been some hours of usage but my keyboard connects and disconnects AFTER my UPS makes some CLICKING sound. It takes around 3 to 5 seconds for my keyboard to start working again. And it is frustrating while playing games. This clicking sound from UPS never affected my LOGITECH keyboard. But it is affecting Cosmic byte keyboard.

And one more thing to notice is that my PC and wireless MICE also lags for a second or two when my keyboard disconnects due to the UPS clicking sound. But after I disconnect the new keyboard entirely, my system and mice works perfectly without any lag even after MULTIPLE clicking sounds from my UPS.

Can this problem be fixed?

My UPS is Microtek Tuff Power Pro+ 650VA UPS. I bought it 1 year ago. And physical condition is all normal

My pc Specs-
WIN 7 Home basic
12 GB RAM
Processor - i5 @3.10 ghz
Intel HD 3000
64 bit system

Clicking sound - do you mean PSU Power Supply Unit?

(UPS - Uninterruptable Power Supply. That is a different device and not inside the computer.)

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

If you do indeed have a UPS, include its' make and model information as well.

It could be that the new keyboard is defective in some manner or that the PSU is unable to provide sufficient power via the USB port(s).

Logitech keyboard okay - Cosmic Byte CB-GK-15 Triton requiring just a bit too much power....

And if you are doing even more intensive gaming with the new keyboard that may be further pushing the PSU towards its' designed in EOL (End of Life).

try a powered usb hub. I love the Pluggable brand. They make nice ones you can charge phones and all your devices with

not saying to buy this one, but I would buy this if i needed power and all that connectivity for sure.

if your UPS is clicking, you need to troubleshoot that and figure out what it's doing to trying to do. Execute a self test on it and post the results

Will update my post! And no the sound is not coming from PSU. It is coming from UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply ) and voltage drop is the most probable cause. My UPS is
