Having problems with reinstalling windows 7 on my laptop

Hello,
I try tried to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop. I go through the process but after the setup have loaded the files, an error blue screen appears telling me windows must shutdown and...........

Most likely bad ram, most of the time a blue screen on installation points to bad ram...

That's what I am thinking too + it could be a battery, either already weak or not fully charged.

BTW, are u using DVD drive or USB stick to install?
