Having problems with router to laptop not getting connectivity

Netgear router does not connect with laptop but was working over a year befor now

I just had one go bad lately. I unistall/reinstall the drivers, then try a fresh network setup.

could also be something new is interfering with the channel the network is running on. I told my wife to change it from channel 1 to channel 6 when the network was droping when ever the cordless phone was being used.
