having problems with vid car drivers

i'm having problems with my video card drivers. i bought a MSI geforce4 ti4600, and installed it with the cd, and it works perfectly, but the drivers cause it to crash with planetside a lot (at least i think so). so i went to update them. i download the newest nvidia drivers, or really any drivers other than the ones i have on the cd, and install them. when i reboot, my card is "magically" a geforce 4 ti4800, which is not correct, and i tried it ingame, and the drivers for that cause EXTREME fps lag with my card. i need to find out how to get updated drivers for my card installed (not this geforce 4 ti4800 crap) so i can actually play this game. and in case you are wondering:
Windows 2000
EPoX 8k5a+ motherboard
Athlon XP 2000+
Geforce 4 ti4600 128meg
Sound Blaster PCI 128 (dont even ask.. my audigy 2 was corrupting windows so im stuck with this for now until i decide to risk reinstalling the damn card)

try to find the 41.09 drivers, i see now that nVidia has replaced them with some 43s.

i'll try the drivers, and thanks for the tweaking links, though i use windows 2000. ill take a look on the pages there to see if they have any tweaks for windows 2k.
