Yesterday I replaced the thermal paste on cpu due to it needing to be done so I replaced it and plug my pc back in upstairs and I normally never have any problems after doing stuff inside my pc. But as soon as I turned the computer on it would turn off after 1 second and then reboot itself and carry on doing that until I turned it off at the plug socket. So I took out one of the ram sticks and my gpu and it seemed to boot up alright. After this I put my gpu and other ram stick back in and it still booted so I just left it and started using my pc as normal. Later on I was playing osu and I noticed that when I was playing my game would freeze up every so often so I checked task manager and it said that I only have 4gb of ram installed so I instantly thought that I killed one of my 4gb ram sticks but I just ignored it and carried on playing games as I couldn't be bothered to do any troubleshooting yesterday as I was too frustrated at trying to get it to work. So I left it until today and I started troubleshooting. I took out the working ram stick and replaced it with the one I think it fried and it seemed to boot up alright and normal, so I swapped that one with the one that was working yesterday and It still booted which confused me. So I went back downstairs and put both the ram sticks in the slots and well the computer would boot up and last 15 seconds and then turn off, when both of the rams sticks where in nothing was being displayed on the monitor either. So tried single ram sticks again and I'm getting the same result as what I got with both in. So I tried resetting the cmos battery and took the gpu and still the same result. I'm so confused and it's starting to frustrate me. Any idea on what it could be?
