[SOLVED] Having some trouble

okay so last night i pretty much finished my first pc build; super excited to get it all setup and start playing. However, when I powered it on it.....didn't. Well not completely anyway, my monitor was connected but said it was going to sleep mode right away and my pc only lit up the motherboard and gpu. No q code sensor, no fans spinning. Dead silent. Btw im building with the asus rog crosshair hero viii wifi board. I tried updating bios through USB, didnt work. Tried plugging in 24 pin connector and cpu connector. Nothing. Idk what to do at this point because I've searched the internet and haven't found any real answers or suggestions. Theres also some cables that im not sure where they go. Idk I feel kinda distraught right now. I spent some serious money on this build and im kinda nervous I messed something up but I know I was really careful with the board. Please help
