Hey All,

my H97-Plus has broken after 5 years and as I see it there are two options:

A) Looking for another (old) mainboard with the same CPU socket (1150) to keep my CPU (Intel Xeon E3-1231v3), cooler (Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev) and DDR3 RAM or
B) Looking for a (new) mainboard with the 1151 socket and get a new CPU, cooler and DDR4 RAM .

What would you think is the better option and can you recommend any equipment? Id like to spend <130 EUR for a new mainboard, <80 EUR for RAM and <250 EUR for CPU in case of B).

Thank you for your support!

Don't worry about the warning as MSI states that the MAX motherboards include the BIOS update to work with the 3000 series Ryzen.
