Question having trouble finding a good monitor.

had a 4k 60hz monitor and decided to try 240 hz 1080p. i couldnt get used to it, so i returned for a 1440p 144hz tn monitor. i think i shouldve gone for ips . colors arent all that great. is there an actual difference between ips 5 ms and tn 1 ms

Not really, I'd get the 5ms IPS for the better colors.

i just bought a 32 inch 4k, ,..lg 32uk-550-b off amazon,,,$427, lot cheper than ips, and i wanted the rich colors, dont care about viewing angles at all..https://www.amazon.com/LG-32UK550-B...888&s=gateway&sprefix=lg+32uk5,aps,187&sr=8-1... i like the monitor, but i forgot about the video card part of it,,i got a rx 580, and its really not enough for gaming...now i am going to have to put out $$$$$$$ for a video card, probably going to get radeon II, since i like the colors that radeon cards produce.....expensive with 4k for sure...

@ronss , that monitor is VA so the colors are still going to be significantly better then a TN panel.

Have you considered 3440x1440p ultrawide? They are just now starting to push out nano IPS technology and 144hz refresh rate for it. You get the rich colors, fast response time and HDR.
