Having trouble putting ISO on new build.

Hello,
I was recently told that all I had to do was simply input the product key of my current WIN 10 Pro OS, which is linked to my account, so it could be moved to my new motherboard. But I'm very much stuck because I'm also being told that I have to put an ISO onto a flash drive and boot it from there. Ive attempted using a Windows tool to download the files but after getting to about 30% verified, it just stopped and closed out. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an easier way to do this? I don't have an optical drive for my new rig, and Ive actually thought about using the one in my old build and just buying a whole new key. Is that even worth it?

Thank you for any help and/or advice given.

Hi
Did you use the microsoft tool to down load Windows 10 iso?

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
(You will probably be redirected to a different page as that is UK page)

it can make a bootable USB or CD for you

if it failed check the amount of free space on the hard drive
check you have a good reliable internet connection (preferably by ethernet cable not wireless to your PC)
then try again (possibly at a different time of day)

use a good quality USB drive
you need a 8 GB drive for the 64 bit version

regards

I think I have a decent amount of space on the USB. It shows that there is 14gb left on it. But I downloaded that tool again and also a windows 7 usb dvd download tool as well to burn a copy of the ISO to a usb. I'm just hoping the verifying part completes this time.
