Having trouble removing graphics card on a MSI z170 sli plus?

Today my gtx 1080 came in the mail. I am having trouble getting the gpu out of the slot. I keep on pushing down on the tab but it wont come out.

Found the problem. There is two tabs, unfortunately one of the tabs is covered by the card and i cant get my hand to get it

What motherboard and what GPU is in there now and/or can you post a picture?
There must be a way

You may have to take the motherboard out of the case to get better access to the tab. Might be a good opportunity to clean out everything while it is disassembled.

Its just one tab. The two black pieces do make it look like 2 but its all one piece. If you have the screws removed just lay the case on its side so you dont have to work against the weight of the card. Push the tab down until it clicks the card should release. You do have to push a bit hard.

I can only see half the tab so it kills my thumb haha, im gonna go try a screwdriver

Uninstall the drivers for your old card and then install the ones for the new card.
