Having trouble with computers as always

So this is a bit of a long and possibly complicated question, I have recently with the help of some friends built my first gaming PC, we had some trouble posting on the beginning but that was due to the fact that we forgot flip a switch. We were able to get Windows loaded and everything seemed ok so we finished it up and they went on there way.

I was only able to start actually using the computer about 3 hours after building because of other things. When I had downloaded all of the latest drivers I thought I was ready for the actual reason I built this thing for, but apparently not. I downloaded steam logged in got everything downloading and waited. After a while when I had decided to start up borderlands 2 to see how my computer would do, I got into the start menu got everything loaded in the menu and everything seemed fine, then a I went into the settings, that was a mistake, after setting the resolution and scrolling down to configure more options the game has some 3 dimensional errors and the computer crashes, not a blue screen of death, just freezes, then crashes, great.

I think to my self the FIRST TIME AROUND ok must be something loose, open the computer everything seems ok close it back up and turn it on, the only thing though is that it doesn't want to show anything on screen. The fans are spinning the water coolers going, everything visually with the computer seems fine, except it doesn't want to do anything at all. I remove the graphics card and plug the DVI into the integrated graphics and doing some other procedural checks and would you know it, it runs.

So the problem is the graphics card but I don't know why it's the graphics card, is it something bad with the mother board slot or do i need to replace my gpu? The only way I was able to get the card working again was when I did a system restore on Windows to when I originally loaded it onto the computer, it still didn't work. I then took a compressed air can and sprayed the slit on the mother board a bit to clean it out, for some reason that seems to have done the trick. So I know was back to square one with reinstalling now triple checking I have the right drivers, now I was ready once again for steam. I made the mistake of checking borderlands 2 again, same thing happened except now I can't get it to work again and I just don't know why can someone PLEASE have some sort of response for my, frustrating, situation?

Solution
1| I took a look at eh video, apart from seeing that the connections to your motherboard are fine...your power supply looks like the odd one out. Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of the OS you're trying to work off of?
2| Have you made sure the system runs when breadboarded without the discrete GPU?
3| The case looks like you could have chosen something better along the road :/ bending parts or modding it without thought significantly reduces the resale value of the chassis.
