Question Having trouble with multiple monitors on B550M PRO4

I'm doing a new build using the ASROCK B550M PRO4 motherboard - Windows 10, and it seems that only one monitor at a time can be detected. If I plug in monitors on both the HDMI port and the DSUB port, it only uses the HDMI port. If I disconnect the HDMI port, the monitor connecting to the DSUB port works fine. If I go to settings->display under Multiple Displays and click on "Detect" it says "Didn't detect another monitor" in both cases.

I've done this zillions of times with my work laptop and have never had an issue detecting monitors. Any ideas? My processor is the AMD Ryzen 5700G and I am using the integrated graphics.

Both monitors are fairly late model Acer 1080p. As I said, only one at a time is detectable. BIOS is a new version, as this is a new build.

Both are fairly late model Acer 1080p monitors. As the motherboard is new it has a very recent BIOS.

I have a retail copy of windows 10, which I deactivated on the old hardware and moved to the new hardware by moving the boot drive. Everything else seems to work fine. Looks like the bios is P2.60

test bios is 3.2.

try a fresh os install. or at least do ddu to reinstall gpu driver

Figured it out, duhhhh. I hadn't installed the motherboard drivers!
