Having trouble with new rig setup Motherboard/CPU/GPU

Recently I wanted to upgrade my CPU but my gf convinced me to upgrade my motherboard and CPU so that I could get a much better CPU than I could have gotten on my old motherboard.

Anyways, as you can guess I put everything together and its not working. When I power on the CPU it comes on (fans, lights etc) but I have no display when plugged into my monitor. A few times when I hit the power button the device would just power on briefly and power back off.
SO I have reseated, replugged and unplugged, and tried a couple different ways to get my new rig to run but no dice. Now, the only things that are new are my motherboard and CPU, so when I took the new rig apart again, I hooked up my old setup and it is working.

Any and all help on my struggle will be greatly appreciated!

Motherboard: Asrock 990FX Killer

There is a FX8320 and a FX-8320E. Only the 8320 is on the list: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20990FX%20Killer/?cat=CPU
