hello and thanks for any help.
I have a pc that a friend built for me back in 2014/2015

CPU: i5 4670k
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Z97-DELUXE (integrated wifi + 6 x usb3.0)
RAM: Kingtosn Hyperx Fury 8GB 1866Mhz black
GPU: Asus Gtx 980 4GB
PSU: Cooler Master v750 80 Plus Gold
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm
SSD: Samsung EVO 256GB
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i

so i cant find the exact same ram that is installed now due to it being so old a ddr3.
if anyone can help with what ram would be compatible with the one i have or what I should buy that will work to upgrade to 16gb.
im not very savvy when it comes to PC stuff. If any other info is needed please let me know
thanks again for any help

While I generally don't recommend mixing RAM, you should be ok given that your current in DDR3 (as opposed to DDR4). DDR3 is much more forgiving when it comes to compatibility. I would probably just stick with the same manufacturer and speed of the RAM you currently have. Just look for any Kingston HyperX Fury kit also of the speed of 1866Mhz.

Something like this should work without issue.
