HD 4850 for 1920 x 1080 good enough for these needs?

I am definately not looking to play something like Crysis on high settings at 100 FPS. I don't mind lowering settings on some games a bit. I will be surfing the web, watching some movies, and all the basics. If you need specifics, here:

The video card I am looking at:

The monitor:

and some other hardware just in case you need to know:

cpu:

So do you think I should get a 4850? or should I just bite the bullet and get an hd 4890?

I'm not a hardcore pc gamer, I'm more of a console gamer, but there are a couple of games that are comming out that I really plan on playing. I have always been a major Blizzard fan, and I plan on playing Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 when they come out in a few months. And as for the resolution, I don't really know. I guess at the monitor resolution of 1920 x 1080, or a bit smaller if I have to. I don't want to sacrifice performance for quality, but maybe the other way arround.

If you have enough cash and it does not affect your expenses on food then pick 4890. Or if you can wait, then wait for new gen. cards that's are coming in 20days.

Yeah I'm not actually buying this pc for about a month so ya I can wait, but can you give me a link or a full name so I can google it please? This is very interesting...

what PSU do you have?

Good news: I don't actually have one yet so I can always change what I am getting.. but the one that I plan on getting is: 500w Thermaltake PurePower http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153052

OK thanks for the help. I'm still unsure of what I will do, maybe I will just get the 4890 just to make it more futureproof.. don't plan on playing many games though, just blizzard

if you want to be "future proof" you will probably want to wait until DX11 cards come out. It is "the next big thing," just like DX10 (laughs). I don't think it is going to live up to the hype, but you never know. Like others have said, wait, see how they benchmark, and make a more informed decision.

lol I would like to futureproof but not empty my wallet.. thanks anyway though it was an interesting google. but yeah i decided to just get a 4890, u only once right? why worry about such an easily avoided problem by just adding a couple of bucks (just a couple though, no dx11 for me)

you only LIVE once? yeah that will be good, and DX9/10 should be supported for a while. You hear? Starcraft II keeps getting pushed back.

lol forgot to put live in.. but yeah SC2 has been pushed back for soo long now, but i dont care about SC2 half as much as D3 which hasn't had a hiccup yet.. i just cant wait for a definite release date, which might be released the 21st of this month at blizzcon

anyway that was sort of off topic thanks for the help
