Hd 4870 512mb low fps

Hi i upgraded my cpu and motherboard but still the same gpu. I get lower fps in battlefiled 3 and here is my spec:
Cpu: i5 650 3.20ghz
Gpu: hd 4870 512mb
Ram: 4gb 1600mhz
Before i got about 60 fps but now i only get around 30

Did your old motherboard have 8gigs of ram? I noticed my fps got cut in half when I had to rma my ram and us only a 4gig kit for a while. It could also be that you are using the default settings from the game, you might of had it at the lowest settings before on your old computer. It could also be related to a driver update issue, bios, motherboard, video card.

Did you re-install all the drivers? You should also check for a BIOS update for the motherboard.
