Hey all,

EDIT: I've expanded my budget and done a little more research, so this is my updated take on parts...

With tax returns and an extra paycheck coming in next month, I wanted to put together a solid rig for editing 4k footage out of a pair of Panasonic Lumix cameras (and possibly higher-end cameras in the future). It'll also be used for color grading via DaVinci Resolve.

I think this is a decent parts list, but I'd like a second opinion from the good folks here -- any advice for me?

The Xeon you have is probably the best for your budget, as a more powerful one will cost a lot more

Thanks. :) Any suggestions on an alternate CPU that doesn't blow the budget? My understanding is that this Xeon is basically an i7 without the GPU, but I'm totally open to other options.

Great, good to know... I'll probably up the CPU down the line. Thanks again!
