HD 598 & Modmic for Xbox One?

Is this a good combo and are they both compatible with Xbox one, also do I need an amp?

You can drive the 598s without an amp and DAC. They are good enough that they will sound even better should you choose to add one later.

As far as XBox One compatibility they will work fine as long as the XBox has headphone and mic ports. I assume it does.

I think I’ll get a Y splitter since my controller has a 3.5mm jack, any recommended ones?, and thanks for the answer

I haven't used an XBox One at all much less with a headphone and mic so I don't want to recommend something and have it not work. I do own HD 598s though.

You're plugging straight into the controller? I found this but I'm not sure it directly answers your question.
