Hi there!
I use to psot some questions about what i am not sure about some hardware.
Well, i need to know if would worth buy an used hd 6990 in 100$us right now.

I know that will not be more drivers updates and that it is really hungry power.

I really have no options, the 1050 ti is 250$ at less, 1060 idk and the rx 480 kinda 350$us.
With that kinda of prices, wouldn you personally buy that hd 6990¿? .

I have an i3 4170 as cpu and 24 gb ram.and 1200w bronce plus as PSU.

The last driver released for that was in 2015. Which means there will be no patches for games. So new game support will keep getting buggier. If you are willing to go used. Get a GeForce GTX 770. It is still getting driver updates, uses less power and will do better for the most part gaming.

You can pick up a 2GB GTX 770 fairly easy for under $100. If you spend some time bidding. You should be able to pick up a 4GB GTX 770 for about $100.

I must "update here" i am from bolivia, buy a new gpu is really hard, and used too because really few people renews their hardware. That is why i think in that hd 6990 as option. Thans for your replies

even if they were cheap it is really kind of waste of money for cards such as 6990. because AMD no longer release driver updates for it in new games the card can only use one of it's GPU even if the said game did support AMD crossfire. so in new games the performance will be no different than a single 6950. also you going to need big power supply for it. the card alone was rated at 375w! what other cards in that price range you can get?

Well, in that range of price i can get an used 650 (not TI) or a 740.
750 ti 168$us
1050 ti 250$us
1060 459$us
You see with those price why i am even considering that used 6990?

It owuld be grat. But all that i can ahve in taht price is what i said a time ago. Then again i still thinking about buying that GPU if there would not be another argument. I mean, again, that is a big deal in this country because in bolivia the hardware sellers makes grow up the price so high, and almost anybody resells their hardware.

When properly supported, its 6 tiers down. I dont know what gave you the idea it was even moderately close to "usable".
Im also surprised you necroed this thread when the date is not only at the side of every post, but in the title too.
