I want to know which one is stronger. I saw that the A10-5600k has lower series # so I went with the a8-6600k. Also the 5600k is also cheaper so I figured it'd probably have lower performance. So I wonder if the 7660D would have lower performance too.
Thank you

Solution

the a10-5600k is higher clocked then the a8-6600k, the 7660D is a slightly faster igpu, with slightly larger die at the same clock speed, so it's a better igpu then the 8570d

in theory at stock the a10-5600k/7660D will be slightly higher performing then the A8-6600k/8570D
they're both piledriver cored cpus and sport similar turks based gpu cores.

THAT SAID

the a8-6600k and 8570D will overclock significantly better then the a10, richland apus in the 6xxx series all...
Hello,

The difference in GPU performance will be minimal between any A8 and any A10; the advantage of the Kaveri APU (A8-7600) resides in its lower power consumption and the ability to do Hybrid Crossfire with a modern R7-250 discrete GPU.

SIDENOTE: AMD's old naming rules were wierd, so i understand your confusion, here is how their names worked

gpus -
_ _ _ _d - 4 numbers to look at
1st number = generation
2nd number = performance class
3rd number = stock clock speed with that gpu core
4th number = not used~
d= on the cpu graphics core

so a 7660d would be 7th generation (since amd/ati switched to that naming style); 6th ranked performance class in that generation (higher is better), with a "6" ranked based clock speed (i never did figure out how amd assigned this number, though i do know higher is better)

while a 8570s would be an 8th generation, 5th ranked performance class in that generation (higher is better), with a 7th ranked base clock speed (higher is better)

that said, they're both based on the TURKS gpu architecture, the 8570 supported DX11.1 while the 7660 only supported dx11, which as far as i can tell is the only difference between those two generations. the 7660 sported a bigger gpu core, with more shaders and the like, so it had more muscle power then the 8570. and while you might look at the 7 in the clock speed and conclude it's higher clocked then the 6 in the 7660, you'd be wrong. they both sport identical base clocks of 933mhz.

neither are steamroller based Kaveri apus, they're both piledriver based apus, the 5600k was a trinity, the 6600k was a richmond.

I am not sure you are trying to say, A8-7600 is definitely a Kaveri APU; the OP brought the Kaveri integrated R7 into discussion by comparing it with 8570D graphics from the A8-6600K.

oh, i missed that question, to the OP

the a8-7600 will probably be the fastest option at STOCK speeds. It will perform slightly better then the a10-5600k at stock and it sips power in comparison. that said it can't overclock so the a10 or a8-6600k will probably be faster after a real overclock has been applied to them

if you want the best option get your hands on an a10-7700k, those tend to go for cheap (i've seen them on sale for <$100), and while they don't have the "best" igpu available on the amd platform the a10-7850k is overpriced
