Hd 7770 Question

Hello there. I am looking to upgrade my computer with a discrete graphics card so that i can play strategy games like company of heroes 2, shogun 2 total war, and rome 2 total war. I would like to upgrade to an Hd 7770. The only problem is that my prebuilt gateway computer has only a 220w psu. I was wondering if i installed the hd 7770 would it still work and not fry my computer if i wanted to play those games. THank you.

PLEASE just upgrade your power supply. Another thing, is your computer small form factor or normal length? Easy way to tell is are the optical drives (where the dvd drive is installed) sitting horizontal or vertical.

They are sitting vertically. I would upgrade the psu if i could, but i think its proprietary. Would it be possible then for me to move all the parts to another atx case?

Vertical, that's not good for upgrading power supplies. Sorry to say this but your best bet is to get a new power supply AND case. I think it would be possible, why would it not be?
