hd 7770 vs gtx 970

hello

this is just speculation for now but i would like to know because my card is the radeon hd 7770 but i heard the gtx 970 has some awesome features coming with maxwell and i dont really know what they meant by it

since im not one of the experts i would like a comparison between thiese two cards
apart from specs because i dont really know what to do with them
i know the gtx 970 is more powerful but it cost's a lot more (but still in the budget)
i would like a comparison like:


on the same game same resulotion the gtx can run it at least 30 fps on thiese settings
the radeon hd 7770 can run it same way on thiese settings
this is just an example if you know a better way to make me understand their differences i would be glad to know it

also i play all games from minecraft to crysis 3<(actually the hd 7770 was able to play this) also planning new games (if they are good) like witcher 3 and no man's sky

Well there is no competition for the 7770, so much so it's hard to find direct comparisons.

Crysis 3 http://www.anandtech.com/show/8568/the-geforce-gtx-970-review-feat-evga/8 the 6970 at the bottom of the 1080p chart is more powerful then a 7770, take a look at all the games anandtech tested with the 970 and it's over 2x faster, some games 3x then the 6970.

i actually want to change for my nvidia shield but i want some performance improvement too not just buying a 750 ti and have almost the same performance but spent the money my psu is good CORSAIR AX1500i 1500W, 80PLUS Titanium,modularny,ATX, fan 140mm (it was not me who bought this i know it is not needed) 8gd 2400mhz ram my cpu will bottleneck the gtx 970 but i can upgrade it in the summer (or when intel skylake is out)

i think i will stick to the gigabyte g1 gaming gtx 970 i like its looks

but will there be a better card (only nvidia for the shield) for a bit lower price but same or better performance in the near future?

I would buy the 970 now or you will always be waiting for something better, the gigabyte g1 gaming is a great choice, and your psu is definitely overkill ☺ .

and wow i didnt know it is even faster than a radeon hd 7970

i know the psu is overkill it was not me who choose it my cousin said it is better to overkill your computer will have longer lifetime + you dont have to worry when you upgrade
