Hey guys, i need help and information before i buy a new video card.
So ive been looking all over the internet for a budget graphic card. I have found that GTX 750 TI is the best nvidia graphic card which u can find for this price range. Also i have found HD 7850 which had great reviews on YT too. They have similar price which is about 160$ in my country.
So i really want to know which one would u pick? why?
Is there any other value graphic cards i may check?
Waiting for reply :)

what about it? Will this PSU provide poor voltage? Will it not run my graphic card? Not stable? Do i need a diamond for the cheapest graphic card?
Also it overclocked my g3258 with best results and multimeter shower very accurate readings

Those capacitors have low temperature thresholds. They start failing to filter once they warm up to about 35C, which is a normal operating temperature. This causes more ripple, and more stress on components. Graphics cards are usually the first to show noticeable problems like artifacting, driver crashing, and freezing.

And no, good PSUs do not cost a fortune. Nor do you need a high power unit for your setup, as a good 450W unit would be well more than enough.

I have set this topic to discussion hopefully someone else can add something. i may try to return this psu i got i knew it was mistake to get it, i could get CM gold 550W for the same price tag. But i don't understand this thing that u say ill have artefacts driver crashing? Would Cooler master company build such a bad PSU, unbelievible. Also this what u say is what u think may be? Or u exactly know

cooler master does NOT make power supplies, they add their brand to already made power supplies.

Most of those cheap makers use crap capacitors.

Which is why you should only buy tested power supplies from good manufacturers.

I disagree with the first reply. I wouldn't not consider the GTX 750 Ti up to the task.

The HD 7870 is significantly stronger than the GTX 750 ti.

lets say you want to play GTA V? A 7870 will let you get mostly high settings with reduced shadows where as the GTX 750 Ti will barley give you medium.

Your current PSU will technically be fine for either card as you have the required 2x 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors. That said, I'd buy soemthing from Corsair or XFS (or other solid brand) as soon as you can. Maxalge hit the nail on the head, it is a cheap Chinese import with a known name slapped on the side. Fine for testing or emergencies but I'd never trust something like that to not blow my board 12 months down the line.

You also don't need 750 Wats. Go with a 550w if you buy a new one.

EDIT

Ignore my above words as I miss read the topic header AND the post. I thought you said 7870 NOT 7850. I do apologize.

The 7850 is indeed slightly stronger despite having a lower clock speed but neither card are capable of high end gaming at anything above low to medium settings.

But if your budget for a card is $160 USD then you can afford a R9 280X for that. if it's not USD then I've no idea 🙁

You should probably read the thread title and do some homework on the internals of PSUs.

Read edit. I derped the submit button before I was finished THEN I had to correct my complete boo boo about my read fail. Still; I deserved that. You actually replied as I was fixing it.

well even if CM not the one who produce, everyone would blame them. And i know my psu sks, but i was pretty sure that it can handle budget graphic card which has TDP 150W. Im not going to put titan or something like this. r9 280x u will never get cheaper than 250$ (dollars) in my country. HD 7850 and 750 TI are the ones best graphic card i can get with this price.

norway bro, price on top. And if i order from US or other place ill have to pay for shipping + VAT = value-added tax, this CM 750 i got for 100 dollars so i dont feel like i want to throw it away and get a new quality one
Ill try to send it back but i doubt they will accept it. because i have used it and they dont accept functional things when they have been used for a while.
Ps it was corsair gold 550 and this CM 750 for the same price, but im su dumb i took with higher wattage

Ok I read your edit. Not all Corsairs are good PSUs. Actually few of them are. Most of them are of the same poor quality as the OP's Coolermaster made with bargain bin parts.

You must be careful when looking at PSU sticker brands. Companies like Cooler Master, Corsair, Thermaltake, ect do not manufacture PSUs. They use various OEMs for the various models, and thus there is a wide range of quality.

As far as HD 7850 being not up to task...
