HD 7870 2GB or R9 270X DC 2 TOP 2GB

Solution
ok im here to corrent this once and for all since you are getting the wrong answers left and right.

the sapphire card is a 7870xt, also known as the 7870le, it is a "tahiti" chip, NOT a "pitcairn". there is a pretty big difference here.

the asus is a 270x, just a rebranded 7870 full pitcairn gpu with 1280 streams.

the sapphire is noticably faster than the asus because it is a highly gimped tahiti gpu which is the same gpu found in the 7950/7970/r9-280/r9-280x. it has 1536 stream processors based on the tahiti architecture which is faster than pitcairn.

anybody who knows anything about video cards would rather game with a tahiti than a pitcairn. if they are...

Never go for the R9 270X its more expensive when you can buy the R9 270 version for cheaper and overclock it to get the same performance.

I have the Asus DC II R9 270. Its overclocked at max from 975 core to 1175 mhz core. Not worht the extra $30 for a less than 1% increase in performance of R9 270X
