HD 7950 to RX 570 Worth?

I have a Ryzen 1400 with the stock cooler, and 8 gigs of 3200 mghz ram at 2800 right now, and I have a 27 inch Samsung curved Freesync monitor

I was just curious. Today I bought a used RX 570 4GB XFX graphics card on Ebay for $115. I asked the seller if he mined on it or games, he answered with "Both". The card was released 2017 and it's going onto 2019 now. My HD 7950 was released in 2011 but never mined with (from what i know). I bought it used years ago. I can sell my HD 7950 for around $70-85 dollars which i plan on doing. Is it a good step up from the 7950? I'm just worried since it was used for mining, do you guys think the 570 will have a longer lifespan than a card released in 2011??

The RX 570 is nearly double the speed of your HD 7950. As far as whether buying a mined card makes sense or not, nobody can answer that but you.

Well, the only reason why i did it is because i thought it has more lifespan considering my 7950 is from 2011 and has been used a lot. That's why i asked basically. But thanks for answering the speed

Since you already bought the RX-570, you should be able to tell for yourself pretty soon. But on paper, the RX-570 is ~60-70% faster than the HD-7950. Tom's Hierarchy Chart places the 570 two tiers above the 7950. I would consider that an upgrade; how much is up to the user to decide. You are gaining another gig of VRAM, though.

I think I should be fine. Considering how old my card is especially and he had great reviews. But thank you all for the responses
