HD 7990 vs GTX 690

I'm in a situation where both these cards are the same price.
Which one should I buy? Don't try to tell me the 7990 runs hotter or louder because it doesn't with amd's vastly improved heatsink. I have a 750w psu.

yah ok someone needs their homework 7990 is pound for pound better than both the gtx's !the 7990 is about out of 100 in horsepower 95% of the time better than the 970 not that's actually known. in fps statisics here go here punch in the gpu's an see for yourself make up your own mind

I never said the 970, but is the 7990 better than the 690? and another possibility, the 780ti. Because ive heard dual gpus can be somewhat unreliable

actually i was referring to undying's statement callum not yours an didnt mean any offense. my son still runs 2 7970's and its a tank. i suppose it comes down to price an if you look at the specs on the 690 they arn't bad either. the 780ti nice also depends on res. now if we are gonna judge on heat an noise the gtx's win did you goto that site an compair the gpu's its kinda nice to have. not that i promote sites just things that are useful

if your gonna 1080p or higher than 1440p the 7990 shines well its all perspective i guess an price
