Hi I recently just got a couple of HD 8570 2Gb gpu cards cheap to replace my old HD 4830 512mb.
I know these are OEM cards but I figure they should be better than the 4830 but with one card installed windows only rates them 6.9 where the 4830 was 7.4.

According to CPUZ the Core and memory are only at 300mhz each but MSI afterburner says the core is 700mhz and the memory is 980.

When I play ark survival the framerates are worse than the HD 4830 but the graphics look better.

Now my BIG question is how do I run them in crossfire? according to the amd site they can but there is no crossfire clip. I installed them both on my motherboard one into the pci x16 and the other into pci 2.0 so where do I go from here please??

Hey,
From what I can find the HD4830 and HD8570 are VERY CLOSE for gaming (ignoring the memory) for supported games.

So not sure what's going on with the 12.5FPS score, but I do know that:

HD8570-> 384 sp's
R9-380X-> 2048 sp's

The R9-380X for reference has over 5X the processing capability and runs at a higher frequency so is closer to 7X faster. The HD8570 (and HD4830) really aren't meant for any demanding games. Torchlight or older games maybe.

Either way, these are frankly really not suitable for the game you're trying to play anyway. I don't know what CPU you have but I'd suggest saving up for a GTX750Ti 2GB or better.

$100+ GTX750Ti 2GB-> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43753kr

Other:
As for Crossfire, you haven't confirmed that you even support on the motherboard. If you intend to go ahead, test one HD8570 first in a number of benchmarks and repeatable scenarios then add the second, enable Xfire and compare results.

Checklist:
1) 64-bit Windows 7, 8, or 10
2) 4GB or more system memory (i.e. DDR3)
3) mobo supports Crossfire

As said, that means you have DIFFERENT SETTINGS chosen. The newer GPU supports new features, which get enabled, which causes your frame rate to drop.

So even if you buy a GTX750Ti, you'll still need to adjust the game settings appropriately. Including resolution.

Sorry I just updated it.
My motherboard supports xfire and I seem to have it working as the xfire logo comes up on ark now and also on a couple of the tests I tried. I just brought these cards to use till I brought another Psu as I have an HD 5970 which runs great on this pc. but I thought these cards would be a hell of alot better than the HD 4830
