Hd confusion

Hello,
i am planing to buy a hd graphics card.my monitor is a led monitor(not hd monitor).i am confused that if i will able to get hd display or not.hd technology is hardware dependent or monitor screen dependent?plz reply

Hello and welcome to the forums
First of all we don't have an HD monitor. HD is the resolution of 1280x720.
For playing a HD movie you need a monitor with a resolution above(which all the today's monitor have far more resolution than that) and a GPU that can play HD movies(which again,almost all the GPUs on the market can play HD movies)
