Windows 8 started complaining that "Windows detected a hard disk problem". I ran CHKDSK which didn't find anything wrong. I then ran HD Tune Pro instead, which gives the following results on the accused disk:

So, what do these numbers mean? Should I expect the disk to die on me in a short amount of time, or is it possible that it will keep spinning for a few more years? I have backed up anything important on the disk. Is there anything that can be done to "fix" disk? Reformat it?

If the disk is likely to keep working for a while, how do I stop Windows from nagging me about it?

*EDIT* Windows just gave me the option to not be reminded again, so that solves that at least.

Solution
Yes, you should expect the disk to fail. As such you should IMMEDIATELY back up any irreplaceable data. You should expect for your computer to not boot at some point in the future or for programs to fail to run or blue screen. You should purchase a new disk immediately.

Thank you.

I have no system files or programs on that disk. Can it still cause system-wide disruptions such as blue screens?

Probably not. But if you attempt to save or read a data file from that disk, you could blue screen.
