HD keeps beeping until computer enters BIOS

Hey guys! I am trying my best to revive an old computer of mine from 2008. Its old HD burned so I bought a new one (Seagate Pipeline ST3500312CS). It had problems and I activated the warranty. I received the new one and already put it on my PC, but it keeps beeping until the computer enter the BIOS (no Windows installed yet). In the BIOS I can see that the computer doesn't recognize the HD. I already checked 8 times to see if there was any cables that were loose but there weren't any. I am worried that I might need to buy a new power supply and/or motherboard (I want to keep the computer to its original state the max I can). If anyone could help I would be grateful. What is the "beeping": Should be some pattern of long and short beeps depending on the motherboard's manufacturer.
