A few months back I got myself a new hard drive (6TB WD60EFRX Red). Mounted it on an enclosure and transferred my media files there. This morning I moved a few files to it from my PC and tried to unmount but it kept saying that the it can't because it was being accessed by the computer. So I shutdown my PC. I then moved it to my laptop to access and now I won't, the disk is spinning but my laptop can't read it. It won't doesn't appear in device manager or disk manager.
Then I swapped it with an HD and enclosure I knew worked (I checked them both before hand just to be sure) and ran them both. The first HD on the new enclosure wasn't still isn't accessible but now appears in device manager and disk manager displaying the correct size but saying that the HD not formatted (says it is partitioned as 2.5 TB with ~3.3 TB unallocated space). The new HD on the old enclosure is also not appearing but is also shown in the device manger and the disk manager with the right size but unformatted (the 6TB drive has just over 4TB of data and the test drive has about 2TB).
So, just for to check again. I swapped the HDs, the same problem happens with the old HD and enclosure but the I used for testing worked fine together.
Is there any chance I can still get out of this without losing data?
