Hi Guys (and Girls).

I need some help with a choice of GPU's. What performs best for eyefinity and multiple monitor gaming or high resolution gaming. It should also perform well for rendering. I plan on buying another one for CrossFire later so it should perform well for that.

1. ASUS Radeon HD 7970 GDDR5 3GB/384bit,1000MHz/5600MHz, PCI-E 3.0 x16, HDMI, DVI, 4 x Display Ports, Heatsink, Retail.

2. MSI AMD Radeon HD 7970 Lightning BE PCI-Express x16 3.0, GDDR5 3GB, 384-Bit, GPU:1070MHz (Boost:1150MHz) / Mem:5600MHz, DVI x2, Mini DisplayPort x4 Dual Slot ATX, MSI Afterburner, All Solid Capacitors, Blu-Ray Support, AMD Stream, AMD HD3D, AMD Eyefinity x6, AMD Crossfire Support, DirectX 11.1.

3. Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7970 Vapor-X PCI-Express x16 3.0, GDDR5 3GB, 384-Bit, GPU:1000MHz (1050 Boost) / Mem:6000MHz, DVI x2, HDMI x1, Mini DisplayPort x2, DirectX 11 Dual Slot ATX, Vapor-X Cooling, Black diamond choke, AMD Avivo HD, AMD PowerTune, HD3D, AMD Stream, Eyefinity 2.0. Support, AMD Crossfire Support.

I live in South Africa so prices are similar.

Thanks for your help. :)

I have a Sapphire 7970 Dual-X and it has cool temperatures under load, some of the coolest out there. The Vapour-X is the successor to the dual x so things should be even better. What is the price difference? In Australia it is something like $80 between the Sapphire card and the others. It just isn't worth it. If the Lightning and the VapourX are the same price the it is probably down to preference.

Well I would go for the Sapphire card. They are the largest manufacturer of AMD cards. It's pretty tight between the two but I think Sapphire's might run a little cooler and in my experience overclocks better. They are both nice cards. Sorry I can't help more.
