I received a brand new 18TB WD external hard drive
When I transfer data to it (write) it sometimes stops and I need to turn it off and on to make it work again. Also the files that are in transfer get partially lost.
I used hard drive sentinel app and it shows the drive is fine.:
"The hard disk status is PERFECT. Problematic or weak sectors were not found and there are no spin up or data transfer errors.
No actions needed. "
This only happens when I write on the HD. When I transfer data from it it works well.
I tried switching USB ports and disables USB energy savings in the power management but no success.
Any idea?
