HD temp monitor software

Dude 😀

The only means to monitor HD temps, or any other temps that are not already designed into your mobo for monitoring is to obtain a "trick" case with those facilities. The only cases I'm aware of are the high-end Antec: P-160, P-180. With these cases your have available several temp probes that you can place anywhere you want and continuously monitor whatever.

sorry friend you are wrong. the p-180 does not have any built in temp monitoring features. i own one, i should know. also, you can monitor your hd temps on any mobo that supports S.M.A.R.T. monitoring.

to the OP, you can try speed fan. i know that it has the capability to read the hd temp from the probe in the hd itself. i use motherboard monitor but it has stopped being updated. there is another utility out there that will read all of the smart monitoring data off the drive. i cant remember the name off the top of my head, but i will look for you when i get home from work. im not sure if you really have to have the bios option enabled to be able to read the data. again ill look when i get home. if you have any questions about these, feel free to ask!!

edit: i just remembered that program was called smart monitor.

I have an asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard and it supports SMART I believe. I got asus probe for my CPU/Motherboard temp but it does not have HD or any others.

im not sure if motherboard monitor works with that mobo. ill check when i get home. try speed fan. my buddy uses it and it works well. there might be others out there, im not sure.

What's a good software to monitor my HD temp? I got a raptor drive and wants to see how hot its running. Thanks

Download the program "Everest", from Here - Than go to www.TorrentSpy.com or another BitTorrent website, download the full version, and use the keygen to get it full version. Or, you can buy it, but it monitors EVERYTHING on your PC, and I mean EVERYTHING.

Yo Mikey, Everest ultimate does shows HD temps in this matter but its NOT everything it doesn't even display GPU temp. But at least it can display my HD's temp but I need to get the non-trail version.

Everest does show video card temps. If you have a 6600gt you must flash your vid. cards bios.

I got an ATI X700PRO 256MB GDDR3, I tried atitool and it doesn't help, yet everyone says atitool works. Maybe my video card doesn't have a temp sensor : (

Same. I used to use MBM5 combining with ACPI driver to read from SMART before switching to Speedfan.
You just need to have SMART enabled in BIOS and then find the right sensor in Speedfan.

SMART don't have to be enabled in BIOS. SMART always activated on HDD, so all you need is an app to read SMART data from the drive.

Enabling SMART in BIOS only means that at boot time, BIOS will look for SMART data and report any error it may find.. not really useful, as drive rarely die at boot time ...
