hi, i just bought a 4tb toshiba, cavino ready ....
start up is 3 time with 0 hour working time

i decided to check whole hard for bad sector so i used HD tune pro 5.75.... after 10 hour, it came out clean without bad sector.
after that, i went through first tab , Benchmark..
i did a read operation test .... started from 140MB and droped down to 68 at end which i think it's normal.

after that i deleted my whole partition and decided to test write benchmark.

it start with 145MB until 1900GB and suddenly it drops to Zero. then the test continued a flat line untill 4000GB with some spike and gave me a result.

i did it once more and this time it droped at 1500GB and completely flat on Zero until 4000GB.

i don't know what to do with this? is this normal? a bug? should I ask for refound (ganna take a while) ?

by the way , S.M.A.R.t is fine without error

which motherboard are you using?
did you plug in the HDD to the front panel or the motherboard directly?

Which HDD is it exactly?

update your USB drivers/chipset drivers from the motherboard
update BIOS of the motherboard

try the Toshiba tool to update the firmrware if available and benchmark it with this tool or CrystalDiskMark

i couldn't find that application.
no , its a backpanel.... a b660 mobo. i have a h370 one as well that I am going to test today.

as i mentioned it above, its (cavino ready) hard external drive...

didn´t find the HDD because of your typo, cavino -> Canvio 😉
omg, sry.
by the way, i did a test with H370 as well +HD tune pro 5.70 ... same problem started at 300GB area. i didn't let it finish since i knew whats going to happen.

what if i just fill the drive with DATA? if that pass, without it drooping to Zero, then its fine?
