I have a Toshiba HP Pavilion dv7 Entertainment Laptop that has XenClient Enterprise installed on it. I need to install Windows OS --- format hard drive and install XP, Vista or 7 on it, which ever one will work. (not keeping XenClient Enterprise on the laptop).

At this time I have tried Windows XP - which when it is preparing to install, it does not get to the screen as to what I want to do... repair, install fresh install etc..a blue screen comes up with the stop error of 0x0000007b.

I have also tried to install Windows Vista and Windows 7 on the HD however the DVD drive churns and I do not see Press any Key to use DVD, but i press any key several time while booting up and after about 3 or 4 minutes, the XenClient Enterprise login screen appears.

I have taken the hard drive out of the laptop and connected it to a computer to see if i can format the hard drive that way and then install XP or Vista (which is the original OS on the computer before Xen was installed) however when I connect the HD to a computer it does not show up in Explorer, it does show up when you click on "safely remove hard and eject media". it does shows up under Device Manager as well.

I have tried connecting the HD to 3 different computers...1 Windows 7, 1 Windows XP and 1 Windows 10. All have the same results that I explained above.

Any ideas how I can format this hard drive so that I can install Vista back on it. the laptop is going to be used for a short period of time and we don't see a need to purchase another HD.

Thank you in advance
