Hello,
Just bought a GA-890FXA-UD5 mobo, an AMD PhenomII X6 1075T, 800W ThermalTake TR2, and 2 PowerColor HD4830 that claim to not need the bridge connectors for CrossFire, not that I can see any obvious place the brides would connect anyway. CCC shows the second gpu card disabled but Device Mgr does not. The CCC CrossFireX Diagnostics claims the internal bridge interconnects are not properly connected. Anybody got a clue on this one? Already uninstalled one, then both, tried looking in BIOS, made sure AI is on....

As far as I am aware there is no way to enable crossfire without a bridge, where did you find this info?

IMO, 4830's are around $80? Wouldn't it have been better to get a single 5770 instead of two 4830's?

Chances are that he/she already had one and wanted a second for crossfire instead of a new card. A year and a half ago they were a popular option on the cheap.
