HD4870 in Crossfire, or a Single GTX280?

Which would be better, Two Sapphire HD4870's in crossfire (512M), or a single GTX280 (OC 1G).

4870 in crossfire

of course 4870's crossfire will beat single GTX 280. even in single mode 4870 performs nearly to 280.

4870s are amazing...I would recommend starting with just one and see if it's enough though!
