So I have the hd4890 graphic driver, and it always gave me trouble installing the drivers for it. It's no longer supported and the last known drivers (that I know of) is the 13.9 legacy drivers.
Problem started when I was afk and I left guild wars 2 open. When I came back the PC had rebooted. I checked the minidmp for one and there was a bluescreen report. When I went back to gw2 my FPS had dropped to 15 (played at 70 average before). It only happened to gw2 and no other game. I tried to reinstall the drivers and now im back to having problems.
Two things happened. I either install the drivers and my FPS go back to 70, but my pc crashes after 1 minute (BSOD with atikmpag.sys error), or I install other drivers and im in 15fps again. Already tried all the drivers I know of: 11.2, 12.6, 13.1, 13.9 even a modded 12.10.
My process to reinstall drivers is Unninstal from device manager, clean the ATI folders from disk, run Driver Sweeper, and reinstall drivers. I reinstalled using the AMD setup and the device manager install, and both those ways didn't solve my problem.
Dunno what else to do really, except buying a new graphic driver (which I really don't wanna do for now)
