hd558 sound leak

I know they're open back and the sound will leak but how much? AT 70% volume can someone in another room with my door clsed, hear the sound?

I doubt it, but I don't know how loud "70% volume" is. If you can purchase from a place with a pair out for testing, you can push the ear cups together and see how much sound leaks out.

I've been using a pair of 558s for a few months now and at my personal listening level the sound leakage isn't too bad (the person has to be near me). If I play Daft Punk's Derezzed for example at a loud volume however, other people in the room could hear the highs and high-mids. I don't think it could get through a door though.

All just personal experience though.

Ended up ordering the hd 558. I went to best buy and checked the leak with another pair of open backs. It doesnt sound as loud as I thought
